Welcome to Alita's This and That

About Me

Hi! My name is Alita and I'm 53 years young. I'm married to Chad my hubby for soon to be 35 years in April. I got very lucky when I found him! I have one biological daughter and then two step-children ( a daughter and son) all 3 are grown with families of their own. I have 7 grandchildren. I take care of my older brother who has alzheimer's and is living with us. I dabble in Psp and hope to learn how to do my own web pages.

About This Site

This site is a work in progress, as I'm taking an hmtl class and what you will see here is part of my lessons. I'm just starting out so please keep checking back as my instructor Brenda of designbybrenda.com will be having me putting in links, slide shows, marquees, tables, and scripts to make my web pages have a WOW factor to them. I hope to eventually learn enough to make my hubby his own web site. I have a professional embroidery machine and I may at some point build myself a web site , in which to sell my digitized embroidery designs.

Design By Brenda Web Design and HTML Classes

If any of you who are visiting, are interested in having your own site and don't want to bother with having to design it yourself; I highly recommend Design by Brenda. I was with a Case's Ladder Gaming League and I scouted around for a Web Page designer. I talked with quite a few leagues and she was recommended to me. I checked out her work and I hired her! Her work is just fabulous and at reasonable prices. If you're looking into learning html, she's the one to learn from. Because of her vast amount of knowledge with her designing web sites - she is able to teach in very clear instructions. Her teaching methods also include teaching mistakes, so that her students will know what to watch out for when they start to design. Her web site addy is: designbybrenda.com (sorry this isn't linked - that will be next lesson) but you can copy and paste it into your web browser.

*~*Special Thanks*~*

I have some very special people that I would like to "Thank" for getting me started on my graphics arts journey. First and foremost, to Sue Millican.   Thank you Sue, for forcing me into taking classes when I had no confidence in myself that I could even do any of the assignments much less comprehend what I was being taught.   You were always there telling me I could and would make it.
Big Hugs and Thanks to Jackie Batt, Rocky Davies, and Lee Hardin- my friends, colleagues, and mentors.   As with Sue, the three of you took me under your wings.   You held my hand during the rough patches when I wanted to quit, and coaxed, prodded, and pushed when I needed it.   With love and encouragement you helped me slowly gain my confidence by letting me know that all of you believed in me!   All of you have suffered due to my not being able to be with you very much because of my classes and home life.   I still have a long way to go-but I am getting there!   In a few months time, my journey will end; and I will have the time to be with you and to enjoy your daily activities. Until then, please know just how much I Love You and cherish your friendship!

*~*To My Wonderful Husband*~*
I don't even know where to begin My Love.   I know just how hard this has been on you.  You have shown your love and support by taking up my slack, in the care of the house among other things.  You have cooked meals, put clothes into the dryer, taken care of the animals, washed the dishes-without complaining; so that I could work on assignments.  I am so very Blessed to have you my darling.   I don't know of very many men who would have been willing to do what you have done.  I am so grateful and so very appreciative of you.  "Thank You Sweetheart" for allowing me to learn and grow.  I love you from the depths of my soul, the very core of my being, and I'm so honored to have you as my husband!
